Lower end reassembly has begun. Every bearing in the motor is being replaced with new bearings.

notes:

• all parts required for rebuilt have been obtained
• used sleeve retainer on new pinion shaft bearing and sprocket shaft bearing race
• installed new mainshaft and layshaft bearings
• layshaft bearings installed to .078 and .080 proud of case bosses
• new layshaft thrust washers are .090 thick leaving Torrington bearings slightly recessed to account for wear
• sealer used on left side layshaft Torrington bearing to prevent leak near sprocket
• old plain bearing removed from con rods and new ones installed. Test fit on crank - perfect.
• thoroughly cleaned all remaining grinding compound from crank passages
• used set of cams obtained from John Copeland incorrect. Will use original cams.
